Ballon Village
Fellow fashionistas, I've done it! I gave in and tried the "socks and heels" fall trend. I refer to it as the, "my toes are cold but I still want to wear my heels" trend. I've seen this interesting pairing while flipping through my most recent Vogue issues. I wanted to be a little daring and try it for myself!
I opted to wear black socks with these glamourous Jessica Simpson heels to mimic ankle boots. In keeping with the geometric cut-out detailing on the vamp part of the shoe, I chose to wear my pointed edge skort.
To add a casual chic vibe to the entire look, I decided this was a great opportunity to feature my crew-neck sweatshirt I purchased at Mango in Milan! In April 2014 my sister and I were fortunate enough to go on an EF Educational tour to Paris, Milan, Florence, and Rome!!
Ballon Village is located in County Carlow, Ireland. Ahhh it would be a dream come true to go to Ireland one day!!

I purchased these super glam heels at the Lord & Taylor Outlet for $40.00! I believe they were originally priced around $100.00 but don't quote me on that! The fabric is so unique because it's a light gold/silver metallic mesh with black suede trim. The platform front adds more stability and allows for more comfort while strutting around.
The clutch is my go-to when I'm going out to a bar or out dancing the night away! It's just the right size to hold my ID, credit card/moolah, cell, and lip gloss/lipstick. It's a suede zipper clutch with zipper closure and has a slight metallic detailing over the subdued leopard print pattern.
*Shout out to my photographer aka my dude aka my boyfriend! He has a great eye for snapping wonderful shots like this detail of my spoon ring! Yes I said "spoon"!*
While in Cape Cod one summer with my family, we went to a large flea market located in Wellfleet. It's held every August in the same location as the old school drive-in movie theater. I highly recommend checking it out!
We stumbled upon an artist molding rings and bracelets out of antique sterling silver utensils! It was a great experience witnessing the creation of his pieces. You get to select the utensil and chose either a ring or bracelet. After sifting through what appeared to be hundreds of utensils, I was drawn to the floral detailing on one particular spoon handle. I asked him to create a ring from that portion of the spoon.
After measuring my tiny fingers, I watched as he melted, bended, and cut it into an itty-bitty ring! It's an experience I will never forget.
