Pinstripe Sophistication

Hello fellow fashionistas! I hope you are having a fun week!  We still have a few weeks left of summer vacation so don't fret...yet.  This week I slipped myself into my $20 Dor L' Dor dress I purchased during the annual Red Bank Sidewalk Sale!

This look can take me from work, to date night, to NYC, and beyond!  It's also a fun transition into fall dress.  I can pair it with black tights and a leather jacket, or belted at the waist with a cardigan.  There are so many possibilities!

As always, please scroll to the bottom of the post for store listings!

I'm a sucker for anything pinstripe!  It's a classic pattern and very flattering on every body type.  It immediately elongates your frame. Even on a vertically challenged 5'3 fashionista like me!

To keep this outfit exciting and youthful I decided on bright accessories.  Being that the dress is white with thin black pinstripes, you can have fun experimenting with various colors!

I love adding a bright primary color such as yellow to a crisp white garment.  It exudes freshness and modernism!

I chose to layer two necklaces for this look (try saying that five times fast).  The first layer is a fun fringe-esq chain necklace from Francesca's circa 2013.  I love the color variation of orange, pink, yellow, and orange.  Since the middle "fringe" of the necklace is yellow, I chose to pair my neon yellow triangle charm necklace over it (also a Francesca's find).  I also thought the triangle shape plays up the"v-shaped" fringe necklace.

When it comes to layering necklaces, I prefer the chains to be of similar size and color.  In this case they are on dainty chains and are gold.

Last but never the least...my Calvin's! (heels that is)  You may see these heels more than once because I adore them so much! In fact if you look at my "On Location" photo shoot from last year, they are featured in an outfit!

I found them last winter at my local Lord & Taylor Outlet.  They had a brown dot so if you're familiar with the outlet then you know what that means!! 60% off! I believe I paid $45 for them.
