Outfit Notes: When sweater season approaches I always search Uniqlo's selection. They have cashmere and merino blend sweaters such as the one I chose for this outfit.
The gray tones in the sweater are color blocked in just the right areas to flatter everyone's shape. Just by the picture the texture looks like buttah!
I wanted to play around with the "sweater over flowy pleated dresses/ skirts" trend. I searched the web for a gray pleated dress and came across Nordstrom's selection. The Halogen Print Fit & Flare Dress caught my eye.
How adorable is that dress?! I'm a firm believer in buying dresses that are suitable for any season. This one fits the mold! The fitted waist is a must when layering a sweater over to prevent the dreaded "potato sack" look. Eeeek!
To play upon the geo print lines on the dress, I wanted to pick a pair of heels that have a bold structured look. I searched for gray heels on 6pm.com and boom these were the winning pair! The ankle boot feel to them harmonizes well with the sweater to stay with a Fall season vibe. The rose gold band across the front adds shine to the subdued colors in the outfit.
Try this look for brunch, day shopping with your girlfriends, or strut on campus!
Stay fashionable!
