Outfit Notes: "Ring ring" that's the sound of the school bell. September is just around the corner! Yay for back to school fashion but nay to schoolwork. Whenever I look in my closet in search of the perfect "first day" look, I usually opt for jeans and a cute blouse (unless it's a hot day then a dress).
I began my online shopping quest to find a great pair of relaxed destroyed light wash jeans. I have been following and loving the new AERO (Aeropostale) collection so I looked at their website first. I found these boyfriend destroyed light wash jeans and decided to feature them for this look.
They are not too "destroyed" which allows for DIY wiggle room :) Grab sandpaper and a box cutter to add your own marks on the jeans! The low price of $24.75 is wonderful for a DIY project. I wouldn't want to pay anything more for clothing I'm going to turn into a fashion DIY.
I logged onto Threadsence to find a blouse that would give a more polished look and to contrast the boyfriend jeans. I fell head over heels in fashion love with this pin stripe "Risky Business"-esq button-up. I love that it's not too fitted nor too loose... it's juuuuust riiight! It's hard to find a pin stripe top because it's usually featured as a pant pattern.
Shoe story! Last night when I was browsing through the world of Instagram, I came upon this company called Urban OG. I saw a pair of stiletto's that looked like they were custom designed by a painter which is awesome! The price was unbelievable--$26.10!!! Please do yourself a favor and check out this company based in Cali. http://www.urbanog.com/
When looking for the perfect shoes for this BTS outfit, I logged onto Urban OG and found these cool chunky black ankle boots! The strappy detail plays up the pin stripes on the button-up and the small round studs add a fun detail element. The thicker heel makes them school appropriate and keeps the entire outfit looking casual.
Try out this outfit for your first day! Don't be shy, turn heads this year!
Stay fashionable!
