Personal Shopping: "Ms. Earl Grey" Outfit

Overwhelmed by numerous amounts of amazing apparel items when you log onto your favorite store's website?  Well take that credit card out of your shaky hand and sit back and relax!  I've conjured up some outfits based on pieces I've found from my favorite shopping destinations and online only retailers that just might tickle your
fancy.  From chic to sporty chic and everything in between.

Outfit Notes: I've been on a grey kick lately.  I love mixing lighter shades with smokey shades when putting a look together. To brighten up the shades of grey (I know what just came to mind.."50 Shades") I chose pieces or accessories from the following color palette...

blush
subdued periwinkle
cream
oatmeal
white

The Vince Camuto Scuba Fit & Flare w/Cf Exposed Zipper was the first find for this outfit.  I remained on 6pm.com in search of a motorcycle-esq blazer to provide a layered look over the dress.  KUT from the Kloth Camden Jacket in white was perfect!  Not too heavy and not too lightweight.  It makes for the perfect indoor/outdoor jacket.  The white color blocked collar and sleeves was a great POP of brightness to cheer up the oatmeal colored dress.  The textured knit reminiscent of tweed, had an array of gray tones with tiny hints of pink throughout the bodice.  This created a focal point to the entire look.

Finding the right shoes was a bit tough.  Since the overall look is meant for a fall/early winter occasion, I wanted to chose a closed toe heel.  I searched for gray booties on 6pm and found these babies by Jessica Simpson.  Does she have great shoes or what?!  I've always been a fan of her collections especially footwear.

The tights can be optional for this look. Personally I think it unifies the outfit and transforms it into a chic sophisticated look.  I chose a color called, "Wild Dove" from American Apparel. They are footless so you have wiggle room to experiment with adding a no see-em sock or have fun with a textured sock like this one... http://www.urbanoutfitters.com I wouldn't wear them up to the knee, I would scrunch them down to a length where they just peek out of the ankle boot showcasing the button detail on the side.

Overall, this look can be worn several ways, dressed up or dressed down, and can be altered to suit the fall and winter season.

Stay fashionable!
