Outfit Notes: It's all in how you play the game baby, the layering game that is! A trend that will be continuing throughout 2015 is...minimalist fashion! Think simple, clean and crisp lines, and solid colors ranging from pastel to rich hues.
For this look I wanted to feature a slip dress in an unconventional way. Transforming a dainty garment into a sleek element to a structured outfit. I searched for lace slip dresses and found this perfectly scalloped lace hemmed dress on Forever 21.
My next mission was to find a sleek tunic to layer over the slip dress. Mission accomplished! Thank you Nordstrom! The high low feature is still very trendy and it allows for the white and black lace detail of the slip dress to peek out and say ello.
Rather then choosing black leather leggings, I wanted to incorporate another color that would compliment the dark navy tunic. The maroon ( trendy term is oxblood but I cringe at that) colored pants were a great find!
The Michael Kors sandals are heels that are suitable for a daytime or nighttime look! I love the delicate strap details and black and white color blocking!
