#OOTD "Medieval Mood" Outfit

Overwhelmed by numerous amounts of amazing apparel items when you log onto your favorite store's website?  Well take that credit card out of your shaky hand and sit back and relax! I've conjured up some outfits based on pieces I've found from my favorite shopping destinations and online only retailers that just might tickle your fancy. From chic to sporty chic and everything in between.

Outfit Notes: As you know, I'm obsessed with the newest trend of combining slip dresses with sweaters!  This look should not come as a surprise!

I haven't perused Nordstroms online in a while so tonight I changed that.  I found this unique knit top by Nic+Zoe called "Glass windows".  I'm in love with the intricate "stained glass" pattern!

Visually I thought this would be a wonderful top to pair with a delicate slip dress. I searched for Free People on Nordstrom.com because they are known for having slinky lil slip dresses with intricate hemline details.  Ta-da! I came across this beauty on the first page... "Skinny Mini" Slip Dress.

I love the mix of textures and that the skirt portion of the dress is opaque. The scalloped hemline and lace fabric mimics the pattern in the "Glass windows" top.  It allows provides a romantic feeling to the overall outfit.

The last part of this ensemble I found were the shoes.  Since I had been striking gold so far on Nordstroms.com I remained on there and searched for heeled booties.  It was a tough decision to chose between black or golden brown for the booties.  I opted for brown because the top has a taupe color to it and since the wearer's skin peaks through the collar and sleeves, I thought brown complimented/ softened the look.

Fellow fashionista's this outfit is a great option for daytime or nighttime! I could see myself wearing this to dinner with my boyfriend followed by drinks at our favorite bar.

Stay fashionable!
