#OOTD "Apple pickin' plaid" Outfit

   Overwhelmed by numerous amounts of amazing apparel items when you log onto your favorite store's website?  Well take that credit card out of your shaky hand and sit back and relax! I've conjured up some outfits based on pieces I've found from my favorite shopping destinations and online only retailers that just might tickle your fancy. From chic to sporty chic and everything in between.

All the excitement inspired me to put this look together!  All this talk of apples, makes me want to make apple everything! Yummmmm! 

Whenever I plan an outfit for apple picking my go to is... plaid! This Mavi Jeans Hooded Plaid Shirt I found on 6pm.com has the perfect color pallet that mimics crisp red McIntosh apples.  The unique feature on this shirt is the attached heather gray knit hood.  This adds a relaxed feel to a classic button down. 

I found these adorable High Waisted Woven Knit Shorts on UrbanOG. I always say have fun with your sense of style and what better occasion could there be to feature these shorts than apple picking?! Of course tights are a must due to the Autumn air and to prevent a "hootchy" look. Eek!

I had bookmarked American Apparel's tights on my browser page from a previous #OOTD.  These Super Opaque Tight in Heather Charcoal are the perfect hue in my opinion.  It mimics the heather gray color of the hood. 

Last but not least- I had to find ze boots! 6pm.com is one of my holy grails for shoes so naturally I logged onto the site and found these Nine West Vermillion 3 Brown Synthetic boots on sale! They have 3 shades but I opted for the dark brown because I felt that the black was too harsh and made the entire look seem to "gothic" for my taste.  Whatever bobs your apple ... (too cheesy? Sorry not sorry!)
