Weee literally jumping for joy!! I attended my very first NYC Fashion Week show! A huge heartfelt thank you to Yuna Yang and her team for inviting me to, "Lights in the Shadow" F/W 2017!
What To Wear
So many outfits--how do I pick just one?! I was in full fashion freak-out mode when I was trying to decide on my outfit for the show! Two things were for sure...
1. I knew I wanted to wear separates so I could have more styling options, rather then just wearing a dress.
The sheer black lace and floral embroidery had all the right elements... on trend, features Greenery the Pantone Color of the Year, and black lace is always NYC chic!
To spice up the look, I opted to ditch the detachable black cami. Instead I layered my semi-sheer black lace balconette bra by Elle Macpherson underneath.
On my quest for the bottom half of my outfit, I remained on the 6pm website. I searched for pants in my size and price range and these sporty
Sam Edelman Slash Pocket Pants caught my eye!
Something about pairing the feminine lace blouse with sporty jogger-like pants intrigued me to step out of my comfort zone and go for it! After all, if there's any moment to have fun experimenting with some wild fashion, Fashion Week is the most opportune moment!
When the pants arrived in the mail I was so thrilled the orangey-red stripe was an exact match to my previously purchased
Just Fab pointed toe, lace up ballet flats!
The final part to pull the entire look together was to select the coat and bag. I opted to self promote my
Etsy Shop by choosing my handmade canvas clutch entitled, "Concrete Jungle".
Luckily the forecast didn't call for rain, so I was able to wear my fantabulous Patty Shelabarger fuschia fur jacket circa 1999!!
